it has been one sweet christmas. tons of food. tons of family times.
i seriously swear, i gained a lot of weight ever since i moved back home. =S
these are my ramblings. dont take them seriously. because they are not meant to be taken seriously. if you do, i feel bad for you because you are taking what is on my mind seriously.

a night i will never forget.. - according to ira halim
i just realized i been home for almost a week! =) anyway... ira came over to sleep over last night because marilyn went back to waterloo. due to the fact that we had way too many vistors over for the holiday seasons... ira was placed in the living room.. (which i found out later that it will also be my room for a short while) but ira being an ira... she made me sleep in the living room with her... (which seriously didn't made a huge difference because i been sleeping on air mattress ever since i got home.. =S
while i was complaining to ira that she made me sleep in the living room.. she replied "this is a night you will never forget..."
anyway... the rest of the family is starting to arrive... and alex is bringing my new muimui shoes! =)

Lilian's Snow Storm
due to the fact that we are under CRAZY winter storm.. and we were suppose to be expecting up to 30cm of snow... none of us went out today.. that means no yum cha.. no church.. no nothing...
but it was really fun.. family members started dropping by at like 10... and by 2ish in the afternoon, we were having Wii tournaments... and then we had book talks, politics talk and blahblahblah...
and we had hot pot again for dinner!! it was really fun snow day... if i am at school.. i will be missing out on these things.. like certain individuals who got our loving phone calls..

I really should be doing my essay, but I decided to google my favorite politican of all time. My favorite politican is Chris Pattern. He was the last governor of Hong Kong before HK was returned back to China.
For me personally, Pattern had opened the doors of numerous of political debate in my life. For example, the airport in HK. A lot of people had been there and they have to say it was EXTREMELY pretty. But when Pattern first declare they were going to build an airport, he was opposed by EVERYONE. He made a promise to leave a certain amount of money in reserve for the future(current) SAR government. He accomplished that goal by providing a fund that was 10 times what the Chinese government demanded. He was the first politican I pay very close attention to as a child. He was the first politican I can call by name. I watched him swore his office. My father designed his house. Chris Pattern had made a dramatic influence in my life.
As a child, I had the luck.. to meet him a few times. He would show up at the most random places eating the most random food - ranging from Chinese herbal tea to egg tarts.
2 of my all time favorite memories of him will be...
1. watching him gaining weight every single time he's on tv when he's in office
2. when he cried on that very very wet night on july 1, 1997
i had left hk around the same time he did, and i have to say he is still my favorite politican.
on a funnier note, there had been many numerous times he had said when he was send to HK as a governor, he was not impressed. but he grew to love that city and being the governor of HK had became his favorite job in his life and it was what shaped him as a person.
